What can I do if I need to defer or pause my course?

We completely understand that MNU cannot always be a priority when other circumstances arise, please be assured, we will do our best to support you!

Depending on how far along in MNU you are and how much time you can commit to the course, we have various options available for you.

If you’re quite far along in the course & feel that you just need a little bit more time, you may be best to consider an extension instead. For more details on extension, take a look at our I need to do an Extension section.

If you are interested in a deferral instead, this means you start MNU from the beginning, on a new intake.

For the deferral fees, you are charged £75 for each month you have had access. We have significantly reduced the cost in comparison with the standard course fees, however, the deferral fees are to cover the cost of your access to LEARN, the Mentoring Lab & Student Groups, along with the tutor support and administration.

To give you an idea of how your deferral fees may look, we have provided an example of the deferral fees below:

Example of adjusted course fees with a deferral:

For a Full Online student who is currently paying £185/month for the course fees, who wishes to defer 10 months into MNU.

Outstanding course fees = 3 months of instalments remaining: £185/month x 3 months = £555
Deferral fees: Access between September – June: £75 x 10 months = £750
New Course Fees: Outstanding course fees (£555) + Deferral fees (£750) = £1305

This can be paid as a one-off payment or via 12 monthly instalments (e.g. £1305 ÷ 12 months = £108.75/month for 12 months)

They will then start with a new intake of MNU, and get access to MNU for the duration of the intake (12 months).

If you’re 100% sure a deferral is the best option for you, please let us know that you need to defer your course via the button below and we will get in touch to arrange this for you.
