If you are looking to practice as a Nutritionist, we would strongly recommend getting appropriate insurance to cover your services. This is due to the large increase in claims being made against health and fitness professionals providing advice and services to individuals and businesses.
Essentially, if you are accused of failing to deliver on your services or you are alleged to have cause harm or financial loss to a client due to an error or omission in your services, you can be sued.
The insurance would then stop you having to bear the full cost of a civil lawsuit.
As an MNU Graduate, you are eligible to apply for the bespoke insurance policy to practice as an MNU Certified Nutritionist.
The policy provides Public/Product Liability as well as Medical Malpractice insurance. This will allow you to provide nutrition consultancy, assessing clients’ food and nutrient intake, addressing their health and fitness goals and subsequently designing personalised nutrition interventions, and where necessary recommending safe and efficacious natural supplements.
